Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday paid homage to Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, on the occasion of his 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas. Speaking at Shivaji Park, where thousands gathered to honor the eminent social reformer, Fadnavis emphasized that India could never fully repay Babasaheb for his contributions.

“Babasaheb’s vision and understanding extended across multiple disciplines, and his insights are evident in the Indian Constitution,” Fadnavis said. He assured that the Maharashtra government remains committed to upholding constitutional values. “Our country is progressing rapidly, and we owe it to the principles enshrined in the Constitution. Whatever we do, we will always adhere to these guiding principles,” he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also paid his respects, highlighting how the Constitution has been upheld and honored during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure. “The progress we witness today is rooted in Babasaheb’s legacy, and it continues to guide us in every step of governance,” Shinde said.

Thousands of followers, activists, and political leaders gathered at Shivaji Park to pay their respects to Dr. Ambedkar, reaffirming his enduring influence on India’s democratic and social fabric. Mahaparinirvan Diwas marks the death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, a day observed with solemnity and reflection across the nation.
