Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai Unfurls ‘Azmat-e-Hind’: Tallest Tricolor at Tithwal Echoes National Pride

In a momentous event marked by patriotic fervor and unity, Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai proudly hoisted the tallest tricolor, christened “Azmat-e-Hind,” from the ramparts of Tithwal-Chileana Crossing Point (TCCP), Tithwal. The ceremonious occasion witnessed the presence of esteemed civil and military dignitaries from the Kupwara District, encapsulating a vibrant celebration of India’s national spirit.

The symbolic flag, “Azmat-e-Hind,” soared high at Tithwal, just a mere 100 meters away from the Lower Neelum Valley Road of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), serving as a resounding symbol of our nation’s unwavering pride and resilience.

The inaugural flag-hoisting ceremony was accompanied by a captivating cultural program, orchestrated by the students of AGS, Tithwal, and the esteemed residents of the Karnah valley. The event crescendoed with Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai engaging with a sizable gathering of approximately 500 individuals, comprising schoolchildren, ex-servicemen, and esteemed civil dignitaries.

The fervor of patriotism continued as the Chinar Corps Commander inaugurated the much-awaited 1st edition of the Tiranga Cup-2023 Cricket Tournament at the Shan-e-Tithwal Cricket ground. Spanning a three-week period from November 21st to December 13th, the tournament will witness the spirited participation of 32 teams hailing from the Karnah sub-division.

The tournament’s launch elicited palpable excitement and enthusiasm among the local populace, emphasizing the significance of sports as a unifying force and a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. The staging of the tournament in this picturesque locale adds another layer of significance, echoing the essence of national pride and unity.
