Oil marketing companies have hiked the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹6 across India, effective March 1, 2025. The new rates, released by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), show a marginal increase compared to the previous revisions, but domestic LPG prices remain unchanged since August 2024.
- With this latest revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost:
- ₹1,803 in Delhi (up from ₹1,797)
- ₹1,913 in Kolkata (up from ₹1,907)
- ₹1,755.50 in Mumbai (up from ₹1,749.50)
- ₹1,965.50 in Chennai (up from ₹1,959.50)
Notably, this ₹6 increase is the lowest March 1 price hike in five years, compared to the steep ₹352 rise in March 2023. The revision also negates the ₹7 relief granted on Budget Day for commercial users.
- Meanwhile, the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged across major cities:
- Delhi – ₹803
- Kolkata – ₹829
- Mumbai – ₹802.50
- Chennai – ₹818.50
- Lucknow – ₹840.50
