As the countdown to the Lok Sabha elections commences, discussions are underway regarding a potential alliance between the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and the Mahavikas Aghadi. Sanjay Raut, the prominent leader of the Thackeray group, has weighed in on the matter, affirming the possibility of collaboration and highlighting the importance of unity in the fight against dictatorship.
Prakash Ambedkar, the esteemed leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, has been instrumental in fostering communication between the two parties. Raut emphasized the need for all parties to strengthen their presence and mobilize their workers to secure nominations effectively.
“There is no difference between us in fighting against dictatorship,” asserted Raut, underscoring the shared commitment to upholding democratic principles and challenging authoritarian tendencies.
Ambedkar’s dedication to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ideology, particularly in safeguarding the constitution, has garnered admiration. Raut expressed confidence in Ambedkar’s alignment with the national and regional agendas of the India Aghadi and the Mahavikas Aghadi, anticipating a unified front in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, criticism has surfaced over the BJP’s candidate selection process, particularly in Maharashtra. The absence of prominent leaders like Nitin Gadkari from the initial candidate list has drawn ire from Raut, who described it as an insult to Maharashtra and its people.
“Modi should show five such projects that Modi has done,” challenged Raut, highlighting the discrepancy between promises made and achievements delivered during Modi’s tenure. With just a few months remaining, Raut reiterated concerns over what he perceives as an “addiction to lying” within the Modi government.
