In a significant development for Mizoram, Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) leader Lalduhoma was sworn in as the state’s Chief Minister on Friday. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati in a ceremony attended by prominent dignitaries.
Alongside Lalduhoma, eleven other ZPM leaders also took the oath, marking a pivotal moment in the state’s political landscape. Among these leaders, seven were sworn in as cabinet ministers, while the remaining six took the oath as ministers of state with independent charge.
Mizoram, with a 40-member assembly, allows for a total of 12 ministers, including the Chief Minister, reflecting the composition of the recently formed cabinet.
The induction of the new Chief Minister and his cabinet members signifies a significant transition in Mizoram’s governance, paving the way for a leadership committed to the state’s progress and development.
