Kupwara police attach property of notorious drug peddler located in Khumriyal locality

Srinagar: In an action against drug trafficking, Kupwara police have attached 16.5 Marlas of land under Khasra No. 732, belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Jabbar Mir. This action was taken under Section 68(E) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS).

The property, located in Khumriyal, Kupwara, was identified as illegally acquired during the investigation of Case FIR No. 245/23, registered under the NDPS Act at police station Kupwara.

The accused, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, has also been taken into preventive custody earlier under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS).

Kupwara police has urged all residents to assist them in the fight against drug peddling by providing any relevant information. Community cooperation is essential to combat this menace. Individuals found engaging in drug peddling will face strict legal consequences.
