Mumbai: In the continuing war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena, senior BJP leader Dr Kirit Somaiya yet again targeted the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Shiv Sena party for making hefty expenses on recruiting Public Relation agency to improve the image of Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray which is worsening on the social media for some or other reasons.

For more than 25 years BJP and Shiv Sena were in alliance but in 2019, both the saffron parties bitterly parted ways. Both Sena and BJP have their eyes on the 2022 corporation election. Somaiya had raised the issue of corruption done by Shiv Sena leader and Mayor of Mumbai Kishori Pednekar.

“Uddhav Thackeray government is planning to spend Rs 5.50 crore to improve its image which is going down on the social media. His government has no money to spend for Covid treatments but has money to spend on hiring a Public Relations team to improve his image. If he really wants his image to be good amongst the citizens then he should be dedicated to work towards stopping the spread of disease and treatment of Covid patient, they should stop assaulting senior citizens and they should conduct a fair investigation of the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput,” said Kirit Somaiya.

When ‘thenews21’ tried to contact Shiv Sena leaders for their version on these allegations but no one was available to comment on the issue.
