Srinagar: Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Kupwara conducted a grand felicitation program at the Dak Bungalow at Tangdhar on March 28, in which 370 pass-out beneficiaries of different trades, Electrician, Cutting Tailoring, Frontline Health Workers, Domestic Data Entry Operator and others were felicitated.
The main objective of conducting the program was to encourage those beneficiaries who have participated in the training programs of JSS and have completed the training and got certified by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. These beneficiaries will now get their self-employment units and will earn their livelihood by themselves. The beneficiaries would turn into job givers and would not be job seekers any more. Deputy Commander of the Indian Army’s 104 brigade announced a few new projects in collaboration with JSS Kupwara on the occasion.
Deputy Commander of the Indian Army’s 104 brigade was the chief guest of the program. Tehsildar of Tangdhar, college principal, other departmental heads (horticulture, agriculture, handicrafts, ITI, social activists) also made their presence felt at the ceremony. The performance of the JSS Kupwara was praised by the Deputy Commander of the Indian Army’s 104 brigade and other speakers on the occasion and called it the “moment of the change”.
