Tel Aviv: In a bold diplomatic gesture, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially nominated former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his contributions to peace efforts in the Middle East.
During a public event, Netanyahu personally addressed Trump and said, “I want to present to you, Mr President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize Committee. It’s nominating you for the Peace Prize, which is well deserved, and you should get it.”
The announcement comes amid renewed global focus on Middle East diplomacy and the legacy of the Abraham Accords — a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab nations that were brokered during Trump’s presidency.
