Srinagar: In a significant operation, the Indian Army successfully eliminated three hardcore foreign terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran Sector of Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir. On the intervening night of 13- 14 July 2024, acting on credible inputs, multiple ambushes were laid along the anticipated route of Infiltration.
On 14 July, the ambush teams observed movement of three terrorists through thick foliage, on own side of LoC. The infiltrating terrorist were challenged resulting in intense fire fight. The intense fire fight led to elimination of three hard core foreign terrorist along with recovery of war like store.
This successful intelligence-based operation is yet another example of the close synergy between the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu & Kashmir Police (J&KP).
