Srinagar: An official of the Indian Army told that an infiltration bid was foiled in KB Area of Nowgam sector of Kupwara district here on Saturday morning.
The Army official claimed that an infiltration bid was foiled in the Tootmaar Gali (TMG) border sector of Nowgam on Saturday morning along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district killing two militants. A patrol party had spotted a group of militants trying to sneak into the Indian side along the LoC.
The official added that the infiltration bid was foiled in Nowgam sector of the district on 11 of July. “Two militants were killed in the operation so far”, he said. The Army official disclosed that innovative basic hunting trip traps were used to inflict heavy injuries to the militants.

According to the top Army official told that 2 AK 47 rifles and other ammunitions were also recovered from the possession of slain militants. The hunting trip traps had caused severe injuries to the chest region on the militants.
