India’s COVID vaccination coverage has exceeded 187 crore 95 lakh today. This has been achieved through over two crore 30 lakh sessions. COVID vaccination for the age group of 12 to 14 years was started on 16th of March. So far, more than two crore 70 lakh adolescents have been administered the first dose of COVID vaccine. The precaution dose administration for age group of 18 to 59 years also started on 10th of April. Over four lakh 68 thousand precaution doses have been administered in age group of 18 to 59 years so far.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 15 thousand 636. Active cases now constitute 0.04 percent of the country’s total positive cases. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.75 percent. A total of one thousand 970 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. Two thousand 483 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
