Srinagar: The Indian Army has initiated a drive to ‘Spread the Idea of Sportsmanship’, by constructing volleyball courts in several villages of Rajwar, Rafiabad, Qaziabad, and Sopore.

A total of 100 Volleyball courts have been prepared in the area by local Sports and Youth Clubs. Ashim Kamath, a sports enthusiast, Kashmir lover, and CEO of Akaar Founders Pvt Ltd presented Volleyball nets and volleyball to the Sports clubs.

To enhance the sportsman spirit amongst the youth, Volleyball Day was celebrated on May 14 throughout the villages. Such events are proving to be instrumental in channelising the youth constructively.

The locals of the area have exhibited immense response to the event and will bring the citizens and Indian Army to march shoulder to shoulder.
