Poonch: In a significant security operation, the Indian Army successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch. According to reports, seven Pakistani infiltrators were neutralized during the operation.

As per an India Today report citing sources, among the seven killed, two to three were reportedly personnel of the Pakistani Army. The Indian Army is said to have ambushed Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), which often operates alongside terror outfits to target Indian forces.

The infiltrators are suspected to be members of the Al-Badr terrorist group, a Pakistan-based militant outfit. However, there is no official confirmation from the Indian Army yet.

The operation underscores the heightened vigilance along the LoC as security forces continue to counter cross-border terrorism. Further details on the encounter are awaited.
