New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic push following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and India’s swift military response through Operation Sindoor, the Government of India has announced the formation of seven all-party delegations of Members of Parliament (MPs) to represent the country in key global capitals.

The announcement was made on Saturday by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who said the move sends “a powerful message of unity and zero tolerance to terrorism.” He added, “In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united.”

This unprecedented diplomatic outreach will see MPs from across party lines—who are often ideological opponents—come together in a coordinated global effort to present India’s position on the escalating tensions with Pakistan.

The delegations will be led by high-profile MPs from across the political spectrum:

  • Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP)
  • Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU)
  • Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda (BJP)
  • Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK)
  • Supriya Sule (NCP)
  • Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)
  • Mahua Moitra (TMC)

Each team will travel to a specific international destination to brief foreign governments, think tanks, and media about India’s position, the nature of the recent attack, and the rationale behind the military response through Operation Sindoor.
