Mumbai: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a joint press conference at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai, highlighting a new chapter in India-UK cooperation. The meeting took place during Starmer’s official two-day visit to India’s economic hub.

PM Modi emphasized the countries’ shared commitment to strengthening economic and technological ties, while addressing global challenges together. He said:

“Our talks today centred on trade, technology, healthcare and renewable energy. We are committed to deepening our economic ties and addressing global challenges together.”

The discussions focused on expanding collaboration in multiple sectors, including trade, healthcare, renewable energy, and technology innovation. Both leaders highlighted their intention to foster sustainable growth, innovation, and global cooperation, building on the recently signed India-UK Free Trade Agreement.

Officials said the visit aims to boost bilateral investments, enhance renewable energy projects, and promote joint research in healthcare and digital technologies, further cementing India and the UK’s strategic partnership.
