Mumbai: At a felicitation in Raj Bhavan, Mumbai, Vice-Presidential candidate and Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan reflected on his 13-month tenure, calling it the happiest of his career. “I am an uncompromising nationalist,” he declared, crediting his inspiration to Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Radhakrishnan highlighted Maharashtra’s political culture, noting the cordial ties between leaders despite role reversals. “This speaks volumes about the generosity of this great State,” he said.

Recalling his service as Governor of Jharkhand, Telangana (additional charge), and Puducherry, he stressed that Maharashtra stood apart for its teamwork and inclusivity.

“As India marches towards Viksit Bharat 2047, development must uplift Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and every section of society,” he affirmed, adding that his move to Delhi felt like “guarding the throne of our democracy.”
