Operations at Lucknow Airport have been significantly affected by the heavy rainfall sweeping through Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra, leading to the cancellation of two flights and numerous delays since Wednesday night.

On Thursday morning, Indigo flight 6E643, which was set to depart from Mumbai to Lucknow at 6:45 am, was canceled along with Lucknow-Mumbai flight 6E2238, originally scheduled for 7:15 am. In addition to these cancellations, several flights were diverted due to the adverse weather conditions.

Late last night, two flights arriving from Mumbai faced significant delays. Indigo flight 6E544 landed at Lucknow Airport at 10:35 pm, over an hour late from its scheduled arrival time of 9:20 pm. Similarly, Air India Express flight I5670 arrived at 1:21 am, which was approximately two hours and 25 minutes behind schedule.

Other flights were also impacted, with IndiGo flight 6E118 from Lucknow to Pune taking off at 11:04 pm instead of its scheduled time of 9:45 pm. Meanwhile, IndiGo flight 6E2058 to Mumbai departed at 11:29 pm, slightly delayed from its original schedule of 11:35 pm. Additionally, Air India Express flight I51305 to Mumbai took off around 2:05 am, approximately two and a half hours late.

Moreover, an Aakash Air flight QP 1525 reached Mumbai as scheduled at 7:40 pm, but due to poor weather conditions, it was unable to secure Air Traffic Control clearance for landing and was redirected to Goa Airport. The heavy rainfall has not only affected Lucknow Airport but has also led to the diversion of several Mumbai-bound flights throughout the day.

Travelers are advised to check the status of their flights and stay updated on weather conditions as the situation develops.
