In addition to the immediate concerns for Mumbai, the IMD noted that the Konkan and Goa region, along with central Maharashtra, could see widespread light to moderate rainfall throughout the week. The risk of heavy rainfall is expected to extend into various parts of central Maharashtra and Gujarat from September 28, with isolated heavy rain projected .

Residents are advised to remain cautious and prepared, particularly as the weather department has highlighted a moderate flash flood risk for several watersheds, especially in the south Gujarat region and coastal areas of Konkan and Goa.
