Chandigarh: A day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched his explosive “The H Files” presentation alleging massive voter fraud in the Haryana Assembly elections, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Haryana said a detailed response to his claims would be shared soon.

Taking to X, the official account of the Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, posted, “Dear Electors, Detailed response to the Press Conference of LOP Shri Rahul Gandhi is to follow soon.”

The announcement comes amid mounting political uproar following Gandhi’s accusation that the recent Haryana polls were “a lie” and that the voter list in the state was “deeply corrupted.” The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha claimed that a compromised voter list has “undermined democracy,” warning that such large-scale irregularities strike at the heart of India’s electoral integrity.

During his press conference titled “The H Files,” Rahul Gandhi alleged that nearly one in every eight voters in Haryana was fake, suggesting that as many as 25 lakh names on the electoral roll were either duplicate, non-existent, or manipulated.

“Every single party understands this. There is nothing hidden here. The fundamental question of an election is the integrity of a voter list. We are showing you that Haryana’s voter list is flawed and rubbish. If this is flawed, elections are fundamentally flawed,” Gandhi said.

He further claimed that his team had uncovered clear proof of manipulation, including discrepancies between postal ballots and booth votes. “We have crystal clear proof that 25 lakh voters in Haryana are fake — they either don’t exist, are duplicates, or are designed in a way that allows anyone to vote,” he asserted.
