The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is showing strong momentum in the 2024 Haryana Assembly election, leading on 49 seats, as per the latest Election Commission data. Congress, trailing with 35 seats, is still hopeful as counting progresses. In Ambala, the BJP office has turned into a celebration hub, with party workers cheering the trends and eagerly awaiting final confirmation of a victory.

Congress, while behind in the tally, remains optimistic. Reacting to the ongoing trends, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhury asserted, “We knew about this and it was supposed to happen. The foundational thing that Rahul Gandhi said, the opinion we kept forward, people accepted it. No matter what BJP says…we are winning.”

The current numbers from the Election Commission show BJP leading in 48 seats, Congress ahead in 36, with INLD and BSP each leading in one seat.

As the counting nears completion, both parties remain focused on the remaining constituencies, with Congress hoping to close the gap and BJP on the brink of a significant victory.
