Handwara cops hold community meetings to strengthen bonds with people in Covid times

Handwara Police organized Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Station Handwara

Srinagar:  The Handwara police continuing its efforts to win over public trust and confidence and to strengthen Police-Public relationship had recently organised a police -public interactive meeting at Handwara police station.

The meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Handwara Inspector Parvaiz Ahmad. 

A large number of people including trader’s federations, prominent members of civil society, Sarpanchs, Panchs and Numberdars participated in the meetings.

The participants raised various issues during the meeting. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. He also sought their co-operation in harmonizing Police -Public relationships. 

The participants also assured their full co-operation in adherence to the guidelines as well as health advisories issued by the police & civil administration from time to time in view of Covid -19 pandemic. The meeting ended on a positive note.
