Ahmedabad: Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani on Tuesday outlined the conglomerate’s multifaceted contribution to national development, spanning defence, healthcare, education, skill development, and large-scale humanitarian service. Speaking at a public event in Ahmedabad, Adani’s address was a strong affirmation of the group’s expanding role in critical sectors where, as he put it, “India needs us the most.”

Defence & Operation Sindoor:
Touching upon the recently concluded Operation Sindoor, Adani hailed the Adani Defence team for their pivotal role. “When Operation Sindoor called, we delivered,” he said. “Our drones became the eyes in the skies and the swords of attack. Our anti-drone systems shielded our forces and civilians. We don’t operate in safe zones—we operate where it matters.” His remarks underline the growing significance of indigenous defence capabilities and private sector participation in national security missions.

Transforming Healthcare:
Adani reflected on the philanthropic vision his family set in motion on his 60th birthday three years ago. “We pledged ₹60,000 crore to redefine healthcare, education, and skill development in India. Our Adani Healthcare Temples are the first major step—1,000-bed world-class campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, equipped with medical colleges, research centres, and AI-driven wellness systems.” The initiative is being developed in collaboration with global medical giant Mayo Clinic to ensure top-tier standards and future-ready innovation.

Empowering Youth with Skills:
In a major boost to skill development, Adani announced a ₹2,000 crore investment to establish a world-class Skill University and Finishing School in Mundra. “Through global certifications, Schools of Excellence, and partnerships with ITEES Singapore and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, we aim to create an industry-ready workforce,” he said. The initiative targets youth from across India, focusing on practical expertise and employability.

Service at the Maha Kumbh Mela:
Recalling his spiritual experience at the Maha Kumbh Mela, Adani described it as “one of the most moving days of my life.” He shared that the Adani Group, in partnership with ISKCON, led the Mahaprasad Seva—a mass free food distribution initiative that served lakhs of devotees. “More than 5,000 Adani employees volunteered, showcasing the values we cherish. I had the honour of performing the Ganga Aarti with my family at Triveni Sangam,” he added.
