Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) leader Supriya Sule has raised serious concerns over frequent delays of Air India flights, urging Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to take immediate action against the airline.

Sule, in a social media post, highlighted her own experience of flight AI0508 being delayed by 1 hour and 19 minutes, calling it part of a larger pattern of mismanagement that affects passengers daily. “I was travelling on Air India flight AI0508, which was delayed by 1 hour and 19 minutes—part of a continuous trend of delays affecting passengers. This is unacceptable. Urging Honourable Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to enforce stricter regulations to hold airlines like Air India accountable for repeated delays and ensure better service standards for passengers,” she wrote on X.

She further criticized Air India’s operations, stating that its flights are “never on time,” echoing the frustration of many travelers who have been facing similar inconveniences. The issue of flight delays has been a growing concern, with passengers frequently complaining about last-minute schedule changes, lack of communication from airline authorities, and overall poor service quality.
