Srinagar: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Cluster Incharge for Parliamentary constituencies, Dr. Nirmal Singh, assumed leadership in a pivotal meeting held in Samba district on Friday. The gathering convened district office bearers, District Development Council (DDC), Block Development Council (BDC), and mandal presidents to evaluate ongoing initiatives and strategize for future electoral triumphs.
The meeting centered on a comprehensive review of the Vikisit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Beneficiary Sammelans, and various social welfare schemes championed by the Narendra Modi government. Dr. Nirmal Singh underscored the significance of these endeavors in fostering citizen engagement and communicating the government’s achievements over the past decade.
With 2024 designated as an election year, Dr. Singh emphasized the imperative of robust preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and other elections in Jammu and Kashmir. In his address to district functionaries, Dr. Singh urged the establishment of election offices in each assembly segment by February 29 and the formation of Election Management Committees at various levels.
