Mohali: In a shocking revelation from Mohali, Punjab, health officials raided a momo factory in Mattaur village and discovered a dog’s severed head stored in a refrigerator. The raid, conducted on Sunday, followed multiple complaints about unhygienic food preparation practices.

The factory was supplying momos, spring rolls, and other food items to major areas, including Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. Authorities were unable to locate the rest of the dog’s body, raising concerns over whether dog meat had been used in food items or consumed by workers inside the factory.

Health officials also recovered chopped meat and a crusher machine from the site, further intensifying suspicions. The dog’s head has been sent to the veterinary department for forensic testing.

The factory, operational for the past two years, is reportedly owned by an individual who also runs a bakery in the area. Locals had previously raised concerns on social media about the poor hygiene standards inside the facility.

Authorities reported that the factory employed 8 to 10 workers from Nepal, but all employees are now absconding following the raid. A manhunt has been launched to track them down and investigate potential violations.
