DK Shivakumar has denied reports of internal conflict in Karnataka Congress amid speculation over a possible leadership change.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar on Sunday reaffirmed the unity within the state government, highlighting his strong working relationship with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said, “This morning, the Chief Minister and I had a breakfast meeting and he will also be visiting my residence for lunch or dinner in the coming days.”

Shivakumar stressed that despite continued political speculation, both leaders remain firmly aligned in their governance priorities. “We have stood united and worked together, with strong support from the party and party workers across the state,” he said.

He added that the people of Karnataka had entrusted the government with a massive mandate in the last elections, and it was their unwavering responsibility to honor it. “The people of Karnataka have blessed us with a massive mandate and it is our bounden duty to fulfill every promise we made to them, which we have delivered,” he asserted.
