Mumbai: It was a great honor to attend the ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 19th Installment’ distribution program (online) led by Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. On this occasion, I felicitated outstanding farmers and progressive FPC/PMFME entrepreneurs who excelled in crop competitions. Additionally, I inaugurated the Agricultural Exhibition at Vanamati, Nagpur, where I explored innovative experiments and research projects shaping the future of agriculture.

Hon. PM Narendra Modi Ji’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has become a financial lifeline for farmers, ensuring stability and dignity. To further strengthen this, the NaMo Shetkari Samman Yojana launched by the state government will increase the annual ₹6,000 subsidy by another ₹3,000, ensuring a total of ₹15,000 per year is directly transferred to farmers’ accounts.

Through game-changing initiatives like Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan, Baliraja Jal Sanjeevani Yojana, Swatantrya Sainik Yojana, and Nanaji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjeevani Yojana, we have already invested ₹6,000 crore in Maharashtra’s agricultural sector. Now, with an additional ₹6,000 crore investment, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering farmers and securing a prosperous future for agriculture.

With World Bank support, the ‘SMART’ scheme is revolutionizing Maharashtra’s agriculture by strengthening value chains, SMEs, and agribusiness investments. The ‘Agri Stack’ initiative is propelling farming into the digital age, already covering 54% of farmers, with a vision of achieving 100% integration, ensuring a future-ready agricultural ecosystem.

To promote sustainable farming, over 2 lakh solar pumps have been installed, providing free electricity and reducing energy costs for farmers. Additionally, Maharashtra is advancing water conservation with 150 approved projects, including the Wainganga-Nalganga project, which will irrigate 10 lakh acres in Vidarbha, reaffirming our commitment to farmers’ prosperity.

During this event, Minister Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, along with senior administrative officers of the Agriculture Department, were present.
