JAMMU: In a major initiative aimed at youth empowerment and career advancement, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, in collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Jammu, and the Nations Development Association (NDA), is set to host the 71st Mega Job Fair 2025 on June 23, 2025, at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of DBU, underlined the university’s ongoing mission to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and foster sustainable skill development for the nation’s youth.
Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary of NDA, announced that over 50 reputed companies will participate in the fair, offering more than 5000 job opportunities across technical and non-technical domains. Leading organizations such as Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Nutraj, Anmol Healthcare, Hyundai, Nissan, Sun Pharma, Jamkash Vehicles, Zeiss, LIC, SBI Life, Himalaya, Hero MotoCorp, The Shri Ram Universal School, MV International School, and Shemford Futuristic School, among others, will be present. The highest salary package being offered is ₹8 lakh per annum.
He also highlighted the role of NIELIT Jammu, which is supporting the event by mobilizing its student network, thereby enhancing the scale and outreach of this large-scale employment initiative.
The Mega Job Fair will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, who will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Shantmanu (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, J&K, will also attend the fair and interact with employers and job seekers.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, expressed pride in DBU’s role as a catalyst in bridging the gap between education and employment through such initiatives. He reiterated the university’s unwavering commitment to providing practical career pathways for the youth.
Ms. Pooja Kathuria, Head of Placements at DBU, will oversee the on-ground execution of the event to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for both recruiters and candidates.
The Mega Job Fair 2025 is open to all students, graduates, and job seekers from any institution. The event will commence at 9:00 AM on June 23, 2025.
