Delhi is experiencing its coldest morning of the season, with temperatures plunging to 4.8°C on Wednesday, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that it could dip further to 4°C on Thursday. The cold wave gripping northern India has also affected neighboring states like Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Jammu and Kashmir witnessed fresh snowfall on Wednesday, adding to the chill across the region.

According to the IMD, the forecast for Thursday includes mainly clear skies but with cold wave conditions expected at isolated locations. There is also a likelihood of smog or mist in the morning and evening, adding to the already chilly atmosphere. The maximum temperature for the day is expected to hover around 23°C, while the minimum could be as low as 4°C. The cold wave is likely to persist over the coming days, making it a challenging time for residents of the national capital and surrounding regions.
