New Delhi: The Delhi Police has heightened security across the national capital as Holi celebrations coincide with the second Friday prayers of Ramzan. More than 25,000 security personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order, officials confirmed on Friday.
Patrolling has been intensified in all 15 police districts, with a special focus on residential areas and locations known for large Holi gatherings. Authorities are ensuring heightened vigilance to prevent any untoward incidents.
To curb drunk driving and traffic violations, the Delhi Traffic Police, in coordination with city police, has set up joint pickets at major road intersections. Special teams have been deployed to monitor key areas and ensure smooth vehicular movement.
