Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday addressed the city amid rising concerns after the release of three lakh cusecs of water from the Hathnikund Barrage. She assured residents that authorities are fully prepared to manage the situation.

“…Three lakh cusecs of water have been released. Our department is prepared. This is due to the excellent desilting in the last six months, due to which whatever blockage we had on the drains, today all the gates of the barrage are open. Today there is no blockage anywhere. Today water is able to flow out. Water will definitely reach the Yamuna flood plains because that is a Yamuna area. Now people have started living there, have started settling down. So, due to this, they will definitely have problems. There is no doubt in this. But water will not reach outside the Yamuna flood plains. I assure the people of Delhi of this thing. They can live without worry. We are completely alert. We are taking reports every hour. The water is currently at the level of 205.6. Last time when there was a flood in 2023, the level was counted as 208.66…” she stated.

On the bird flu situation, CM Gupta added, “I do not have concrete information on this right now…”

  3. of course like your website but you need to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the truth however I will certainly come back again.
