New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday inaugurated the country’s first hotline maintenance van, a technological innovation that allows repair work on power lines without interrupting the electricity supply.

Speaking at the event, CM Gupta said, “For the first time in India, a hotline maintenance van has been inaugurated. This van will be able to carry out maintenance work even when the power supply is on. There will be no need to stop the supply of any kind of power supply. With an uninterrupted power supply, any damaged line will be maintained through this machine.”

She further congratulated the Power Minister and the Power Ministry for introducing the machine in Delhi, adding, “We plan to increase the number of these machines in the future so that the maintenance of power lines can be done without any disturbance.”
