New Delhi: Eleven AAP MLAs, including minister Atishi, were suspended from the Delhi Assembly for disrupting Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s address. Among them, MLA Sanjeev Jha alleged that the portrait of Dr. BR Ambedkar in the Chief Minister’s office was replaced with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s.
Jha claimed that when AAP members questioned the move and asked if PM Modi was “bigger than Dr. Ambedkar,” the Speaker suspended them instead of addressing their concerns. Accusing the BJP of disrespecting Ambedkar, he asserted, “They hate Dr. Ambedkar, but the country will not accept this.”
