Dehradun: Tensions flared in Dehradun on Saturday after a Muslim youth, identified as Sahil Khan, was allegedly caught celebrating the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 28 lives. As per a viral post by ‘Megh Updates’, Khan also made incendiary remarks threatening to destroy a local temple, triggering public outrage.
According to the viral post, Sahil Khan allegedly said, “We have killed only 28 and you’re shivering, we will destroy the Dharampur (Mata) Temple,” sparking immediate fury among residents. His comments, reportedly glorifying the attack which shook the nation and predominantly targeted Hindus, deeply angered the local community.
Locals in Dehradun caught hold of Khan, physically assaulted him, tore his undershirt, and paraded him semi-naked through the streets. Witnesses described the scene as extremely charged, with slogans raised against terrorism and provocative acts.
