Congress Gears Up for Lok Sabha Elections with Division-Wise Review Meetings

In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress Party is set to kickstart a series of division-wise review meetings across the state of Maharashtra. Organized by the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, these crucial meetings are scheduled to commence from Amravati on January 18, marking the beginning of a strategic planning phase for the party.

The meetings will be conducted in the presence of the newly appointed state in-charge, Ramesh Chennithala, and will be chaired by state president Nana Patole. The inclusion of senior leaders, including Legislature Party Leader Balasaheb Thorat, Former Chief Minister and Congress Working Committee Member Ashokrao Chavan, Opposition Leader Vijay Wadettiwar, Former Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan, Legislative Council Group Leader Satej Bunty Patil, State Working President, Congress Working Committee Member Chandrakant Handore, MLAs Yashomati Thakur, Praniti Shinde, Working President Arif Naseem Khan, Basavaraj Patil, and Kunal Patil, among others, underscores the significance of these deliberations.

The division-wise meetings will unfold in two sessions, spanning from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, allowing for a comprehensive review of strategies and planning for the upcoming elections.

The schedule for the initial meetings is as follows:

  • Amravati division meeting in Amravati on January 18
  • Nagpur division meeting in Gadchiroli on January 20
  • Western Maharashtra meeting in Pune on January 23
  • Konkan division meeting in Bhiwandi on January 24
  • North Maharashtra division meeting in Dhule on January 27
  • Marathwada meeting in Latur on January 29

During these sessions, the party aims to discuss and decide on a comprehensive strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. With the presence of experienced leaders and the engagement of party workers, the Congress Party is gearing up for a thorough and insightful planning process to ensure a strong and unified approach in the upcoming electoral battle.
