Budaun: A disturbing road rage incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun district has triggered outrage after a young man was caught on camera assaulting three men in the middle of a busy road. The incident, which took place in broad daylight, has now gone viral on social media.
Argument Over Road Space Turns Violent
According to police officials, the incident occurred around 2 pm on February 15 in the Islamnagar police station area. The three men were travelling together when a scooter rider approached from behind and repeatedly honked for space. What began as a verbal argument quickly escalated into physical violence.
Eyewitnesses said the scooter rider stopped his vehicle and began slapping the men without provocation, creating panic on the road.
Accused Seen Slapping, Abusing Victims on Camera
In the viral video, the accused can be clearly seen abusing and slapping the men in full public view, while bystanders looked on in shock. The victims reportedly did not retaliate, and the assault ended only after others intervened.
The video spread rapidly across social media platforms, drawing strong reactions from users who demanded strict action.
Police Act Swiftly After Video Surfaces
Taking cognisance of the viral clip, Budaun Police identified the accused and launched an immediate investigation. The man was arrested within hours of the video gaining traction online.
Confirming the action, police said, “In connection with the incident, a case has been registered at Islamnagar police station. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail.”
