Jalpaiguri: In a shocking act of violence, BJP MP Khagen Murmu from Malda Uttar was brutally attacked while on a relief mission in the flood-ravaged Jalpaiguri region of West Bengal. Disturbing footage shows the blood-soaked MP sitting in a car, his scarf drenched in blood, as security personnel try to control the situation. The vehicle’s front glass and side window were shattered during the attack, highlighting the severity of the assault.

BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya blamed the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the state administration for failing to protect relief workers. He tweeted, “TMC’s Jungle Raj in Bengal! BJP MP Khagen Murmu, a respected tribal leader, was attacked by TMC goons while on his way to Nagrakata in Jalpaiguri’s Dooars region to help flood victims. While Mamata Banerjee dances at her Kolkata Carnival, BJP leaders are being targeted for doing relief work.”

Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari also condemned the attack, alleging political vendetta. “Mamata Banerjee is on full panic mode after being criticized for ignoring flood-hit North Bengal. Her goons attacked BJP MPs and MLAs to stop them from assisting affected citizens. MP Khagen Murmu was brutally assaulted today while accompanying BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya,” he said, adding that MLA Dr Shankar Ghosh’s vehicle was also attacked in the presence of police.
