Brajesh Pathak Slams Akhilesh Yadav on Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi’s Birth Anniversary: “SP Uses Muslims Like Bay Leaves in Biryani”

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak paid glowing tribute to Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi on her birth anniversary, while simultaneously launching a sharp political attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Extending his greetings to the people of the state, Pathak said, “Heartiest congratulations to the people of Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi’s birth anniversary. Her life is full of heroic tales. She staked her life to protect the honour of Bharat Mata. She never bowed down. We should all draw inspiration from her courage and sacrifice.”

However, Pathak quickly shifted to politics, accusing Akhilesh Yadav of indulging in what he described as “vote-bank gimmicks.” Taking a direct jibe at the SP chief, he said, “Akhilesh Yadav is frustrated; he should explain why so many voter cards are being made in one family. If the Muslim community stops supporting him, then Samajwadi Party will be reduced to a party of no means.”

Pathak further sharpened his attack by accusing SP of exploiting minorities for electoral gains. “The dream Akhilesh is seeing of coming to power by appeasing minorities will never be fulfilled. They have used the Muslim community in politics like bay leaves in biryani. The people of Uttar Pradesh will not forgive them in the future,” he declared.

The Deputy CM’s remarks are being seen as part of the BJP’s strategy to highlight nationalist icons like Rani Avanti Bai while cornering the opposition over vote-bank politics ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
