New Delhi: In a sharp counterattack to Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s “vote theft” remarks, senior BJP leader Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Friday accused Gandhi of spreading lies and confusion among voters. Choubey likened the Congress scion to the infamous conman “Natwarlal,” saying both he and his party have a history of deceit and hypocrisy.
“All these people, whether it’s Rahul Gandhi or this Natwarlal, they are all the same. One is Natwarlal of Bihar, the other Natwarlal of Delhi; both are Natwarlals. They are in the same league, and they have no real issues to discuss. Their only aim is to mislead people and create confusion,” Choubey said while addressing the media.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he added, “The Congress has supported the rule of criminals. They will be sent to central jails and punished severely. The people of Bihar will ensure justice for these liars and cheats.”
