Mumbai: Ahead of the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, Maharashtra minister and senior BJP leader Ashish Shelar on Saturday outlined the MahaYuti alliance’s electoral strategy, stating that the coalition is aiming to win more than 150 seats in the civic body.

Speaking on preparations for the high-stakes BMC polls, Shelar said that detailed discussions have already been held among alliance partners regarding seat distribution. According to him, consensus has been reached on 150 seats, while negotiations for the remaining constituencies are in their final stages and are expected to be wrapped up soon.

Shelar emphasized that coordination among the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party is progressing smoothly. He added that the alliance is focused on presenting a united front in Mumbai, with the objective of forming a stable and effective civic administration after the elections.
