Delhi: As polling for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections continues, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday expressed confidence that the people of Bihar are voting overwhelmingly in favour of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Speaking to reporters after casting his vote, Prasad said the public’s enthusiastic participation reflected their trust in the NDA’s governance. “People are voting with great enthusiasm, and they will continue to do so,” he said, predicting a clear verdict in the state’s favour. “He (Tejashwi Yadav) is contesting just for the sake of it. There is no chance of him becoming the Chief Minister. Bihar’s result will be historic and decisive,” he added.

Responding to Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of large-scale “vote theft” in the Haryana Assembly elections, the senior BJP leader dismissed the claims outright. “It turned out to be a flop. All his statements were false. He is an expert in lying,” Prasad remarked.
