Patna: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a fierce attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of attempting to manipulate elections for the benefit of corporate interests and undermining India’s constitutional foundations. Speaking at a public rally in Bihar, Gandhi alleged that the BJP has been involved in what he termed “vote chori” (vote theft) across several states.

“They (BJP) are doing vote chori, which they first did in Maharashtra, Haryana and now trying in Bihar, which is why we did Voter Adhikar Yatra,” said Rahul Gandhi, addressing a gathering of Congress workers and INDIA bloc supporters.

He urged voters to remain vigilant during polling, saying, “They will try to steal votes at the last minute, but you must stand at the polling booth, look at the list and stop vote chori.”

The Congress leader accused the ruling party of working to benefit business tycoons Adani and Ambani while attempting to dismantle Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Constitution. “Their aim is to benefit Adani and Ambani and finish Ambedkar’s constitution. They want a pre-independence India where Dalits and backward classes had no rights. They want to privatize everything,” Gandhi claimed.
