BJP MLA from Chikhali in Buldhana Shweta Mahale and her 35 women supporters were booked by local police for taking out a bike rally to celebrate the Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary. Police booked her and 35 others for violating covid protocol. According to local police, permission was denied to this rally citing Covid restrictions in the state.
In a video which was released by BJP MLA, Shweta Mahale said, “ We are daughters of Jija Mata and if we have been booked by police for taking out a silent bike rally to celebrate Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary then we are proud of It. And we will conduct such act again and again.”
On the 19th of February, a motorcycle rally was organised by a local organisation called ‘Shivbhakt Shiv Jayanti Samiti’ to celebrate the birth anniversary of the legendary Shivaji Maharaj. Along with BJP MLA Shweta Mahale, there were many women from other political parties who attended this motorcycle rally.
Mahale and others were booked for violating the district magistrate’s order of section 144. Mahale and others were booked under IPC 188, 269, 270 along with a relevant section of the epidemic act.
