Patna: The ongoing seat-sharing negotiations within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar have stirred significant unrest, as the Janata Dal (United) has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the allocation of key constituencies to its alliance partners.

The Sonbarsa seat in Saharsa, currently represented by JDU leader and Minister Ratnesh Sada, has reportedly been assigned to Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).

Tensions have also surfaced in Rajgir, another constituency traditionally held by the JDU, which has now been claimed by LJP(R). The matter remains unresolved, fueling internal friction within the NDA ranks ahead of the crucial elections.

Further adding to the strain, the Tarapur seat has been allocated to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary set to contest. The decision has reportedly not gone down well with the JDU leadership, raising concerns about unity within the alliance.

Highlighting the growing discontent, JDU MLA Gopal Mandal staged a protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence. Speaking to the media, he said, “I came here to meet the Chief Minister and will remain seated until I meet him and be assured about getting the ticket. I will wait for him, and I believe my ticket will not be denied.”
