Bihar Elections 2025: NDA Finalizes Seat-Sharing Deal; BJP, JDU to Contest 101 Seats Each — Nitish Kumar Set for Another Term

Patna: With the countdown to the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 underway, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has finalized its seat-sharing arrangement in a cordial and united atmosphere. According to the official announcement, both JDU and BJP will contest 101 seats each, while LJP (Ram Vilas) will field candidates in 29 seats, and RLM and HAM will contest 6 seats each.

Confirming the development, JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha took to social media and said that all alliance partners have embraced the agreement with unity and enthusiasm. He posted, “We NDA colleagues have completed the distribution of seats in a cordial atmosphere. Leaders and worker comrades of all NDA parties welcome this with joy and are resolved and united to make Chief Minister @NitishKumarji the Chief Minister again with a massive majority. Bihar is ready, NDA government again.”

The statement underscores the NDA’s confidence in retaining power under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who remains the alliance’s face for the upcoming election.

Adding momentum to the campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on October 15 to interact directly with BJP workers under the ‘My Booth is the Strongest’ initiative. In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Our dedicated workers have geared up with full energy for the victory of BJP-NDA in Bihar. Interacting with such dedicated workers always provides new inspiration.”

As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be conducted in two phases — November 6 and November 11, with results to be declared on November 14. Voting will be held across all 243 constituencies, with 121 seats voting in the first phase and 122 seats in the second.
