Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Hails Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ for Avenging Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed strong support for the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor, which avenged the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including many tourists, on April 22, 2025. In a statement, Kumar praised the Indian Army’s strategic strikes that destroyed nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), resulting in the death of over 100 terrorists.

Kumar took to social media to commend the Indian Army’s bravery and said, “The whole country is proud of the courage and valour of the Indian Army. We all have unwavering faith and pride in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He emphasized that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and that the military’s decisive action has showcased India’s resolute stance against cross-border terrorism.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the strong leadership of Prime Minister Modi, stating, “We all have unwavering faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.” His post reflected the collective national resolve to defeat terrorism and protect India’s sovereignty.

Operation Sindoor successfully destroyed nine major terrorist camps, including those run by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen, which were responsible for multiple attacks on India. The strikes targeted key terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK, including the Sawai Nala camp in PoK, a known Lashkar camp responsible for training terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack.

Kumar’s statement reinforced the message that the entire country is united in the fight against terrorism, and that India’s military actions are crucial in ensuring the security of the nation. He also expressed pride in Bihar’s contribution to the strength of the nation, underlining the importance of collective action in such challenging times.

While condemning terrorism, the Bihar CM called for the continued unity of the country and expressed confidence in India’s leadership to take strong and decisive measures against terrorist threats. Kumar’s remarks come at a time when the nation is rallying behind the Indian Army’s actions, with widespread support across political lines.
