Polling took place across 122 constituencies in 18 districts, marking the concluding chapter of this year’s high-stakes electoral battle.

Among the districts, Kishanganj topped the list with 66.10% voter turnout, followed closely by Purnia (64.22%), Katihar (63.80%), and Jamui (63.33%). Gaya also registered strong participation with 62.74%, while Kaimur (62.26%) and Supaul (62.06%) saw a steady stream of voters throughout the day.

Voting began early in the morning under tight security arrangements, with additional forces deployed to ensure smooth polling. Despite scattered rainfall in certain regions, large crowds were seen at booths, particularly in rural areas where women voters turned out in significant numbers.

The first phase of polling, held on November 6, had already set a historic benchmark with a record 64.66% turnout, the highest ever in Bihar’s assembly election history.
