Bhiwandi: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM or MIM) which is hoping to make its presence felt in Maharashtra is making its presence felt in the world of crime. Bhiwandi president of MIM Khalid Guddu along with his brother and two of their accomplices were arrested for red-handed while taking extortion money of Rs 1 lakh from Bhiwandi based builder.
Police said the accused have been identified as Khalid Guddu, Iftekhar Mukhtar Shaikh alias Babblu alias Kaniya, Faizan Alam and Gulam Alam. There has spread the panic in the Bhiwandi politics belt.
According to Rajkumar Kothmire, Senior Police Inspector, Thane Anti-Extortion Cell, “Bhiwandi based builder approached us on Wednesday. He booked a case against Khalid Guddu who demanded the ransom from him. Following which, we formed a team along with Thane crime branch unit one and Bhiwandi crime branch laid a trap at Khalid Guddu bungalow in Samad Nagar area in Bhiwandi on Thursday night”.

Police caught them red-handed while taking extortion money of Rs 1 lakh from a builder. Police have seized Rs 1.25 from accused possession. Bhiwandi City police booked a case against them under section 364 (A) (Kidnapping for ransom), 386 (Extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt), 387 (Putting person in fear of death or of grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion), 34 (Common Intention) of Indian Penal Code and under section 3, 25 of Arms Act. Bhiwandi Crime Branch unit one is probing the matters. Finally, police arrested them.
