Covaxin manufacturer, Bharat Biotech today started trials for the booster dose of the vaccine at AIIMS, Delhi and Patna. It will be conducted in phase two clinical trial participants. The booster dose will be given to the participants after six months when they had received their second dose during the trial. Last month, the Drug Controller General of India had given permission to Bharat Biotech to conduct clinical trials for a third booster dose of Covaxin.
